Bio
Wildlife photography is a journey that has taken me from the Arctic to Antarctica, capturing moments of nature few have seen. Based in New Zealand, I’m fortunate to explore some of the world’s most remote places, documenting the beauty and fragility of wildlife.
In a time of growing threats to nature, my work seeks to inspire a deeper connection to the natural world and a renewed commitment to its preservation. Each photograph is an invitation to reflect on our shared responsibility to protect what remains.
As Sir David Attenborough wisely said, “Cherish the natural world, because you’re a part of it and you depend on it.”
My aim is to evoke emotion through my images, creating a visceral connection that reminds us all of the wonders of the wild. Over the years, my passion has been recognised through numerous awards, including:
Best Natural History Print Image, Photographic Society of New Zealand (PSNZ) National Salon 2025, Hungry Emperor Penguin Chick
Geoff Moon Nature Trophy, PSNZ National Salon 2025 for the digital image best illustrating New Zealand nature, White Fronted Tern Wing Touch
Bird Photographer of the Year Collection 9 book in association with the Bird Photographer of the Year, 2024, Banking Fulmar in the snow
Champion Image and Gold Medal, North Shore Salon 2023, Arctic Fox
Champion open digital image, PSNZ National Salon 2020, Iceberg serrations
I am honoured to hold the titles of Fellow of the Photographic Society of New Zealand (FPSNZ) and Excellence FIAP (EFIAP). For my full FPSNZ set please go here .
Through my images, I hope to encourage a deeper appreciation for the natural world and inspire action to protect it.
