I am delighted to announce I have been awarded a PSNZ Patrons Gold Medal for the print image that best illustrates wildlife in the 2026 Sony PSNZ National Salon: The iselected mage (shown below) was Pallas Cat in the cold. I captured it in Mongolia in early January 2026.

Pallas cats are small, wild cats similar in size to typical domestic cats. However, their pupils are round and they have rounded ears . Temperatures were typically around -25 celsius during the week I spent in the area.
